A debut novel…

After three decades of reporting and editorial writing for newspapers, television and radio, award-winning journalist Julie Philipp is now working on her first novel. In addition to earning a New York Emmy nomination and multiple other print and broadcast honors, she contributed to national programs including PBS Newshour and NPR’s Morning Edition. She also served as a storytelling coach and presenter for USA Today Network’s Storytelling Project. She is passionate about the environment and has had many wild adventures across North and South America, Europe and the surrounding seas. She grew up in a rural community, but enjoys spending time with her three adult children in New York City. She and her partner, Rob, are living happily ever after in Rochester, NY, with their rescue dog, Cooper, and Fiona, the calico cat.
